Festival of Funk 2019

By cwa-blog, event

Thank you to everyone who came by our booth at this year’s Festival of Funk.   We were honored to be invited by Modern Times and blown away by the response to our beers.  There were some familiar faces … and a whole bunch of new sour loving fans.  We wanted to bring a wide array of flavors so people could get an idea of who we are and what type of beers we make.  Deciding on what to bring to Festival of Funk was tricky, but we finally decided on four beers.

Our lineup included:
Pineapple Upsidedown Cake
(Brown Sugar Dusted Pineapple / Homemade Maraschino Cherries)
Mango Fett
(Mango / Jalepeño)
The Darkside
(Kombucha / Pomegranate / Hibiscus / Beet)
Strawberry Wild Ale
(Fresh Strawberry)

Wow!  We were so excited to see people lining up to try our sours.  It was amazing to introduce ourselves to a ton of locals who had not yet heard of us.  We are proud to be San Diego’s only all barrel-aged sour house and we are constantly striving to bring you new funky brews.  Our complex Wild Ales are not for everyone… and we are thrilled that the San Diego Beer community has embraced us.  As always we keep 10 sours on tap at our tasting room.  If you are looking to take your tastebuds on a funky adventure … visit our tasting room and enjoy a flight.  We are open 6 days a week Tuesday-Sunday.

Resilience IPA

Resilience Butte County Proud IPA

By cwa-blog

Please join us for Resilience Night! On Friday, February 1 at 5pm, we’ll raise a glass with the 1,400+ breweries around the world brewing Resilience Butte County Proud IPA, our fundraiser beer for Camp Fire relief.  Head to our tasting room in Sorrento Valley to try our version of Resilience IPA–every dollar spent on Resilience will benefit those impacted by the Camp Fire. Together, we can raise more than $10 million to rebuild Butte County.

We collabed with the talented Sam Olsen, of Fourpenny House, to bring you our first ever IPA!   We are extremely excited about the results.  Whether you are trying your first Resilience IPA or your 5oth…come on out and support an amazing cause.

Thank you to Sierra Nevada Brewing and the rest of the brewing community. And thank you to every single customer who is helping us rebuild our Butte County community—one pint at a time.
