Peach and Nectarine
This 4.9% ABV American Wild Ale is a barrel fermented and aged in French, Hungarian and American oak. The Peach and Nectarines offer a refreshing and delicate nose of apricots and citrus peel. The stone fruit flavor leads the way and is followed by delicate notes of nectarine flesh, candied orange, pink grapefruit and an intriguing funk. This wild ale has low balanced acidity, with carbonic acid which pushes this blend through flavor town.
The Peaches and Nectarines were sourced from an Organic Farm called Lone Oak Ranch, in Tulare County, CA. The fruit was driven down each week to sell at the farmer’s markets around San Diego. Every Sunday we would meet them at the farmers market in Hill Crest and we would purchase all the fruit that was getting “too ripe”, or they couldn’t sell. This was a win-win for both of us!
