This 11% golden sour ale blend was selected specifically to showcase the beautiful flavor of the blackberry fruit. With a light acidity and mild earthy tones, the 2lbs per gallon of blackberry puree get a chance to be the star.
Jammy and sweet, with bright acidity from the beer for a refreshing balance, a sure favorite of any fruited sour lover. We started by adding our golden sour to barrels that previously held a delicious Quadrupel from our friends at Alesmith Brewing. The golden ale rested here for 12 months. The addition of the quad barrel adds a spicy, ripe fruit flavor to the finished beer. After allowing the flavors to age in the quad barrels for an additional 2 months this sour beer was ready for the wild.
