2020 Bottle Club

Ladies and Gentlemen, we would like to welcome you to our 2020 Bottle Club, The Yeastie Beasties!  We have been crafting some exceptional beers with our members in mind.  Membership will include – Exclusive Bottles, Guided Tastings, Member Party, Custom Merch, and a few other surprises.

We are brewing in small batches, meaning our members will be the only ones with the privilege of tasting these beers.   This year, we’ll max out at 100 Members, so it’s a good idea to sign up as soon as possible.  Upon sign-up, you’ll be welcomed into the bottle club with 7 new ales.  Your first 7 beers will be available for pickup at our Sorrento Valley tasting room on August 1st.  Over the remaining 6 months of 2020, you will receive an additional 8 beers, bringing your total to 15 Wild Ales.

Peach on Peach Cobbler -5% ABV
***Yeastie Beasties Member Exclusive Beer***
This Pastry Sour is one of our favorites.  We begin with a finished peach beer, then rest it again on a ton more peaches, resulting in a beer we call Peach on Peach. We then take a small portion of our P.o.P. to create a cobbler version by adding fresh Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Saigon Cinnamon. The fuzzy peach flavor melds perfectly with the cinnamon and vanilla to create a deliciously tart version of a classic American dessert.
Grilled Pineapple – 4.9%
Tropical and Funky with a hint of caramel…this beer has been a crowd favorite for years.  We aged our golden sour in Oak Barrels for 12 months to allow the flavors to develop.  We then racked a 2-barrel blend onto freshly grilled pineapples and allowed them to rest for an additional 4 months.
Mead Berries w/ Vanilla – 5% ABV
Made with berries from Lost Cause Meadery, this wild ale collaboration contains hundreds of pounds of blackberries and raspberries that previously rested in finished mead. Exploding with bright raspberry and a blackberry-jam finish, the tart berries and golden ale is perfectly balanced by a beautiful sweetness from the honey.  We took a portion of the mead berries and rested it on bourbon-soaked Madagascar vanilla beans. Adding the vanilla created a sweet berry pie flavor and is one of our best pastry sours to date.
Strawberry & Blackberry – 5% ABV

Now, this is a special beer… Over 3 pounds of strawberry and blackberry per gallon… this beer is a labor of love.  Bursting with fresh strawberries on the nose and finishing with a blackberry sweetness.  This is a wonderful beer that showcases the acidity of the beer as well as the sweetness of the fruit.  Only 100 bottles ever made.
Blueberry Muffin – 5% ABV

We started with a ton of fresh local blueberries from the Flower Fields in Carlsbad as the base for this decadent wild ale.  We then added  Madagascar Vanilla and Cinnamon to balance the acidity of the golden ale and accentuate the tartness of the Jewel and Snow Chaser Blueberries.  All these flavors blend harmoniously to create a flavor that makes you feel like you are sipping on a Blueberry Muffin.
Dark Sour w/ Cherry and Vanilla– 9%

Vanilla Cherry Dark Sour aged in a single oak barrel and fermented with 100% Wild Brettanomyces Lambicus yeast that was living in the barrel.  Notes of cherry pie and vanilla on the nose with a nice refreshing sour finish.  This is our first-ever dark sour and we are thrilled to share it with our club members.

Prickly Pear – 5% ABV
Local Prickly Pear from Ocean Beach, CA leads the charge on this mouthwatering wild ale. It’s sweet like candy with a beautiful, bright orange color and balanced acidity, a bottle that you’ll immediately want more of.  We only made 180 bottles of this beauty so each member will only receive one bottle with the membership.  The additional 80 bottles will be made available to members before they are offered to the general public.

Peach on Peach Cobbler with Bourbon Soaked Oak -5% ABV
***Yeastie Beasties Member Exclusive Beer***
We took a small portion of our Peach on Peach Cobbler which already had Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Saigon Cinnamon.  We then rested the beer in Bourbon Soaked American Oak Staves to add a beautiful depth that accentuates the peach flavor.  This is one of our most decadent beers to date.  We only made enough for each member to have one bottle.
Peach on Peach with Raspberry – 4.9%

Funky Stonefruit with an explosion of berry goodness.  We aged our golden sour in Oak Barrels for 12 months to allow the flavors to develop a complex flavor.  We then racked a 2-barrel blend onto fresh peaches and raspberry and allowed them to rest for an additional 2 months.  You gotta try this one!

These are just a taste of what we have in store for our members.  We are thrilled to share all these small-batch brews with everyone.  Most of the beers we have created just for you.  Others are single barrel creations… and you guys will have first rights… so they will probably end up being exclusive bottles as well.
