Our Double Barrel-Aged Dark Sour is aged for 12 months in a freshly emptied Bourbon Barrel. We then transferred this glorious liquid into a freshly emptied Maple Bourbon Barrel that previously held Modern Times Monster’s Park. We added fresh cinnamon and vanilla and gave it an additional six months of rest. The various spirit barrels bring a new life to this beer. As this beer conditions for months, it incorporates some bourbon and stout characteristics. Dominated by dark fruit aromas and flavors, the underlying chocolate notes give this way to a sweet cinnamon finish.
