At California Wild Ales in Ocean Beach, we believe beer can bring people together — not just for good times, but for meaningful moments. Liberty Pour, our newest release, is more than just a beer. It’s a tribute, a connection, and a way for our community to give back.
Liberty Pour (5.5%) is a crisp, clean, all-American golden ale brewed like a classic cream ale but designed to drink like a refreshing lager. Light-bodied, smooth, and incredibly drinkable, it’s the kind of beer made for long conversations, shared stories, and raising a glass with purpose. It’s approachable, refreshing, and built to be enjoyed by craft beer lovers and casual drinkers alike — a true community beer.
But what makes Liberty Pour truly special is the meaning behind it.
This beer is brewed in honor of our friend Connor Lowry, who lost his life serving in Afghanistan. Connor’s family remains a close and important part of the California Wild Ales community, and this release is our way of honoring his memory and recognizing the sacrifices made by service members and their families. Connor’s legacy lives on not only through those who knew him, but also through moments like this — when we come together to support something bigger than ourselves.
To further that mission, a portion of proceeds from Liberty Pour will support the Road Home Program, a nationally recognized Chicago-based program that provides mental health care and support services to veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Their work helps address challenges such as PTSD, trauma, and the transition back to civilian life — providing real, meaningful support for those who have served.
We’re also proud to collaborate with Crux Wilderness, whose programs use outdoor experiences and community-building to help veterans reconnect, heal, and thrive. Together, these organizations are making a powerful impact, and we’re honored to support their efforts through this beer.
